“Dear Diana,

Thank you very much for all you have done for me this summer (2008). Going into the summer, I thought I would need surgery to remove a calcified hematoma on my right ankle bone. Being an elite hockey player, this protrusion on my ankle made it quite difficult to wear my skate for prolonged periods of time, even forcing me to take off my skate in the middle of practice just to ease the pain. The time required to prep and recover from surgery would have been quite costly to both my summer training and to any enjoyment I would receive in the small amount of time I get off every year. With the surgery, I wouldn't have been able to effectively prepare for the upcoming season or for a chance to make an NHL team. Furthermore, I probably would have been on crutches for at least a month, something no one should experience during summer. Thanks to laser treatment and you, surgery was not required, and I was able to have a full summer of training and fun. Without laser treatment, I wouldn't be in the peak physical condition I am right now, which allows me to compete at the extremely high level of athleticism that is required of all NHLers.”

Thanks again,

Brennan T.
