“Last July while lifting stuff out of the back of my pickup truck I hurt my lower back. At first it wasn't that bad so I just went about my day and ignored it. I was at a point where the pain was so bad in my back that I could not lay down and was forced to sleep in a chair. I had an MRI done on my lower back that showed a large protrusion at L4-L5 which was impinging on my left L5 nerve root. This impingement caused the shooting pain in my left leg, knee and back. I persisted through this period and continued with treatments along with some stretching and strengthening exercises. Over the next few months the condition has improved slowly but significantly. I feel that I am about 80% improved and can once again sleep laying down. I have been able to fully straighten my back and walk normally. I still have numbness in the calf of my left leg which my doctor says may be due to nerve damage. I am scheduled to have that corrected on June 11th.”
