“Last July while lifting stuff out of the back of my pickup truck I hurt my lower back. At first it wasn't that bad so I just went about my day and ignored it. As time progressed the pain intensified until I was taking painkillers and seeking aid from Chiropractic, Acupuncture and a Physiotherapist. My physiotherapist eventually referred me to LaserHealth® Solutions.
I was at a point where the pain was so bad in my back that I could not lay down and was forced to sleep in a chair. I had to walk bent forward at a 45° angle just to gain a little relief and could no longer work. I had an MRI done on my lower back that showed a large protrusion at L4-L5 which was impinging on my left L5 nerve root. This impingement caused the shooting pain in my left leg, knee and back. It also caused numbness down the calf and right to my foot. I was taking a significant amount of painkillers trying to find even a little relief.
I started treatments at LaserHealth® Solutions on February 7th, 2007. After the first few treatments I noticed some relief which continued until it plateaued for a while. I persisted through this period and continued with treatments along with some stretching and strengthening exercises. Over the next few months the condition has improved slowly but significantly. I feel that I am about 80% improved and can once again sleep laying down. I have been able to fully straighten my back and walk normally. I still have numbness in the calf of my left leg which my doctor says may be due to nerve damage. I am scheduled to have that corrected on June 11th.”
