The Calgary clinic opened in 2004 and has successfully treated thousands of people for conditions such as tendonitis, sciatica, cervical and shoulder injuries, tennis elbow, low back pain, TMJ syndrome, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries and arthritis. Treatments are a combination of laser therapy and manual therapy.
Laser therapy is proven to help reduce or eliminate inflammation. Light photons are deeply absorbed by soft tissue, stimulating physiological effects necessary to healing. It is a painless, noninvasive therapy which can help restore normal cell function and enhance the body’s healing processes.
The manual work provided by the therapists includes Osteopathic, Somatics, Onsen® and massage techniques. These techniques are used to assess and correct structural and functional imbalances. Improved musculoskeletal balance means the reduction or elimination of pain, an increased range of motion and the release of entrapped nerves or trigger points.
The cost is $120 per visit. An assessment is included in the first visit at no extra charge and each visit takes just under an hour. You are one-on-one with the therapist the whole time. You won't just be receiving laser therapy. Laser therapy is an important part of the treatment because of its ability to reduce or eliminate inflammation and speed up the healing process. The manual therapy is just as important because these techniques deal with the structural and muscular reasons why the pain and inflammation started. Laser Health Solutions has developed a unique therapy program using Osteopathic techniques, Laser Therapy, Somatics, and Massage Therapy that you won't find anywhere else. On average, only ten treatments are needed.
If you have insurance benefits which allow you to see a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), you can claim reimbursement for Laser Health Solutions treatments when you see one of our RMTs. If you have any of the following insurance and are able to see a Manual Osteopathic Therapist (DMO), you are able to claim reimbursement when treated by one of our osteopaths: Blue Cross, Desjardins, Empire Life, Equitable Life, Great West Life, Greenshield, Manulife or Sunlife.

I am a diabetic. One day, out of the blue, I began to suffer with severe pain form the right side of my lower back down my right leg to my knee. The pain was so strong that even the weight of my clothing was too much to bear.
The doctors were puzzled and set about eliminating things like kidney stones, bowel trouble, etc. and after many months, many doctors' visits and many tests, I ended up with severe pain and a large bottle of painkillers.
The opinion was that my diabetes had caused my blood vessels to constrict and stop supplying my nerves with the blood that they needed to function and the pain was the nerves crying out. They… View the whole post
I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed. I just recently retired from pro football (CFL) and have suffered a variety of injuries over the years through the course of my career. This has given me exposure to a variety of treatment methods (Eastern & Western styles, Modulations and Manual) allowing me to see what methods were most effective for each different type of injury.
After being referred here by someone who had great success with a lower back disc injury. I felt it deserved a serious look. So I watched their CD overview, and researched some information on the internet, finding it to be based on solid science. It is very… View the whole post
Dave presented to LaserHealth® Solutions complaining of chronic shoulder pain. It all started last January while he was sweeping on his curling team. Now that spring has arrived he wanted to enjoy lawn bowling and didn't want his aggravated shoulder interfering with his next form of recreation. He completed 6 laser treatments on his left shoulder and this is what he had to say…
To the staff at LaserHealth® Solutions, Thank you for the attention given to me and for the excellent results that the laser treatment provided on my shoulder (which had been troubling me for several months). I would not hesitate to recommend this form of treatment to anyone.
“I am 53 years old, average weight and exercise daily. I have been diagnosed by my doctor with osteoarthritis in my right knee. I was seeking something to help relieve the pain when I go up or down the stairs or when I have to sit or stand. I had tried accupuncture, chiro and the exercises the Doctor gave me and they were not helping. I was listening to the 770 radio station and I had heard Blaine and Dr. Rob talking about Laser Therapy, so I made an appointment. After making my appointment, I changed my mind and called to cancel my appointment while I decided which alternative therapy I would try. Blaine… View the whole post
“A serious car accident in 1996 left me with chronic shoulder pain, mainly on my right side. Exercise, stretching on a daily basis did not eliminate the pain. Eventually the pain increased starting in my neck and moving down my arm. I was unable to lift grocery bags or raise my arm over my head. After the laser treatments I have definitely had increased mobility on my right side, and have NO pain down my arm!”
Several years ago I suffered fairly severe damage to my right shoulder. After several years of therapy the shoulder, although considerably better, still was very uncomfortable. Dr. YY suggested I try Laser Therapy. After three sessions most of the pain dissipated and my shoulder is pretty well pain free. I am now playing golf pain free!
I had extreme pain in my right elbow joint. I was very skeptical about the method of treatment but was willing to try anything to reduce the level of pain. After the first two or three treatments I did not notice any significant change but later on there were substantial changes in the level of pain. I think I had only ten treatments and since then my elbow has been pain free.
“After a car accident in which I was involved, I got a very sore neck. Dr. Rob recommended a laser treatment. After one session, all the pain and inflammation disappeared. Based on this, I decided to apply the same treatment to my tendonitis in my right wrist. After three or four sessions, the improvement was obvious. The pain disappeared, and now I am able to use my arm/wrist/hand"
“I met Drs. Rob and YY at the “2005 Vancouver Wellness Show'. It was there that I first learned about Laser Therapy and asked whether laser would help the arthritis in my knees. My knees were so sore I had a hard time going up and down stairs. I could not bend over to tie my shoe laces. I had difficulty getting in and out of my car and out of my easy chair. After the first laser treatment I could feel the difference. Now I've had ten treatments and I am very pleased.I can walk up and down stairs, get in and out of my car, tie my shoes and stand when sitting in my chair as a normal person again. I would have to say I am 99% better.
I had a fall in November 1997 in which I injured my dominant wrist (right). There were no broken bones but the ligaments were torn.I had no choice but to use my left hand for as much as possible.
After a while I became quite proficient being a lefty and although my wrist was healing well, I was very protective of it. By mid 1998 I noticed that my left elbow was beginning to ache by the end of each day. It continued to get worse and I began to force myself to be right hand dominant again. It wasn't long before the right elbow began to hurt as well.
