The Calgary clinic opened in 2004 and has successfully treated thousands of people for conditions such as tendonitis, sciatica, cervical and shoulder injuries, tennis elbow, low back pain, TMJ syndrome, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries and arthritis. Treatments are a combination of laser therapy and manual therapy.
Laser therapy is proven to help reduce or eliminate inflammation. Light photons are deeply absorbed by soft tissue, stimulating physiological effects necessary to healing. It is a painless, noninvasive therapy which can help restore normal cell function and enhance the body’s healing processes.
The manual work provided by the therapists includes Osteopathic, Somatics, Onsen® and massage techniques. These techniques are used to assess and correct structural and functional imbalances. Improved musculoskeletal balance means the reduction or elimination of pain, an increased range of motion and the release of entrapped nerves or trigger points.
The cost is $120 per visit. An assessment is included in the first visit at no extra charge and each visit takes just under an hour. You are one-on-one with the therapist the whole time. You won't just be receiving laser therapy. Laser therapy is an important part of the treatment because of its ability to reduce or eliminate inflammation and speed up the healing process. The manual therapy is just as important because these techniques deal with the structural and muscular reasons why the pain and inflammation started. Laser Health Solutions has developed a unique therapy program using Osteopathic techniques, Laser Therapy, Somatics, and Massage Therapy that you won't find anywhere else. On average, only ten treatments are needed.
If you have insurance benefits which allow you to see a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), you can claim reimbursement for Laser Health Solutions treatments when you see one of our RMTs. If you have any of the following insurance and are able to see a Manual Osteopathic Therapist (DMO), you are able to claim reimbursement when treated by one of our osteopaths: Blue Cross, Desjardins, Empire Life, Equitable Life, Great West Life, Greenshield, Manulife or Sunlife.

“On the last five kilometers of the 60K Weekend to End Breast Cancer, my right foot gave out. It turned out to be a bad case of tendonitis. Just simply icing it was not helping. I sought out extra help, recommended by a friend. It was laser treatments. In less than 4 treatments it was feeling much better. After 5 treatments my foot was back to normal.
Thanks to Jackie & Dr. Rob, I can do my normal routine of 30K/week and workout at the gym 3x/week”
I'm a competitive figure skater, and when I injured a metatarsal in my foot during intense summer dance training, I needed something to help it heal quite quickly. There was a lot of tenderness and swelling around my foot, and I had to take time off the ice in order for it to heal. After 2 days, there was no improvement, and regular doctors didn't have any information to help. I considered Laser Therapy after Dr. Rob mentioned it, and decided to give it a try. The swelling around my foot went down almost instantly, and I was soon able to put some pressure on the foot, something that was very painful before.
“In January I had a stroke that resulted in a “frozen shoulder'. My family doctor told me to go to a physiotherapist. After a series of physiotherapy treatments I still could not raise my arm past my shoulder.
I read about LaserHealth® Solutions and Dr. Rob's laser treatments. After 10 sessions my “frozen shoulder' was ninety-nine percent better!”
“I have lived with pain in my neck for many years. It all started after a whiplash accident and I have tried every treatment known to man.To wear a shirt with a collar caused me pain, never mind wearing a necklace.I kept saying if only they could make my neck and shoulders feel looser, I am sure the pain would stop.Well that is exactly what the laser treatments did. They got rid of the inflammation and my neck and shoulders became softer to the touch. The pain that kept me from getting a good night sleep is gone and I have never felt so well in a very long time.
Two years ago, both of my knees started bothering me. I couldn't sleep at night because of unbearable pain. Both knees were also swollen. I came to LaserHealth® Solutions using a cane. After the 3rd treatment, I felt the difference. I was able to sleep without waking up at night. After the 7th treatment, I went to the clinic without my cane. I'm so happy that my daughter-in-law introduced me to Laser Therapy. I can even out-run my grandkids now! I'm very thankful that I've been given the opportunity to be pain-free again.
“I believe I developed plantar fasciitis from doing one-legged stability exercises, part of a summer squash training camp. I had symptoms of sore heel pad, with gradual tightening in my calf muscle. Massage helped to relieve the tightness, but did not alleviate the heel pad pain. It was also difficult to take the first steps upon rising in the morning.
I saw an ad in Impact magazine, advertising Low Intensity Laser Therapy. After 3 sessions, I began to notice a difference. I no longer experienced shooting pains in the foot. It was also not as difficult to take those first steps in the morning. I… View the whole post
“I have to give thanks to Dr. Rob for my Laser Therapy treatments; without the treatments I'm sure my shoulder injury would be along time in the healing.I 1st injured my shoulder in a car accident in July 1997.My shoulders never really healed. Even though I could use my shoulder daily, it was always painful.Early this August, I woke up one Saturday morning and could not move my shoulder at all.I couldn't lift my arm, not even hold a glass of water.Dr. Rob began laser treatments on Tuesday. After 6 treatments I have full range of motion and almost completely pain free.My shoulder has never felt this good, since before my accident, 8 years ago.
Thanks again, I will be trying the treatments in the future.”
I worked in construction for many years. Because of the nature of the job, I experienced low back pain every day after work. For 10 years I've suffered alot. I've done chiropractic and accupuncture treatments, but they didn't help very much. It's a good thing my family doctor recommended LaserHealth® Solutions. June 1st was my first laser treatment. From that day on I noticed a gradual improvement. With each treatment, I felt better. After 16 treatments I am feeling very good. It's been 10 years since I've felt this good. I think Laser Therapy works wonders.
“While training for Iron Man New Zealand in January '05, I tore a calf muscle doing a hard 5 km tempo run.It was severely painful, very swollen and bruised all over.I could not run for January, February and March. In New Zealand rest, ice, elevation and compression were my only treatments.Iron man New Zealand - no go.Then over to Australia for Iron Man Australia.I had physiotherapy 3 days a week for April, May and June.Still couldn't run.Back to Canada for July and August.I hadn't run for 6 months.I had tried everything - weights, stretching, physio, ice, rest, compression,… View the whole post
“Whether walking in bare feet or comfortable footwear, this 2nd toe throbbed terribly when walking or sometimes even just moving it in a stationery position. After a couple of laser treatments I could feel the difference. After 7 treatments, I only get the occasional shooting pain up the toe, but not too often. I will definitely return again for more treatments if the pain persists for any length of time at all.”
